Its lightly serrated dark green leaves have no fall color. The flowers have unique starry double petaled flower clusters that cover the plant throughout summer into fall. The color of the panicles depends on the soil PH acidic soils produce lavender to blue flowers, while alkaline soils produce the rose pink its known for. Best bloom in partial sun
